Here is Kailani with her pumpkins. The plants died before they could reach their potential, 50-75 pounds.

The pumpkins were not going to make it until Halloween or Thanksgiving. The plants actually died at the end of August. So I asked myself, what do I do with pumpkins in August. . .
sacrifice them for their seeds. Maybe with more consistent watering they will grow closer to their potential next year. Only time will tell.
